Drive to Il Doge

BY CAR: The nearest port is Piombino , where there are two companies: Toremar and Moby Lines. The frequency of the connections varies in the different periods of the year. In the low season the line is served by 15 daily trips . From May to September there is a bus every half hour. The crossing is about 50 minutes, the port of arrival is Portoferraio. The Toremar also reaches Rio hotel ( 45 minutes) and Porto Azzurro ( 90 minutes). During peak periods , it is advisable to book . In addition to the ferries, passengers have access to a fast connection with the hydrofoil Toremar . In 15 minutes you will reach the port of Cavo , in 30 minutes you get to Portoferraio.
FROM THE NORTH: Genoa – Livorno, exit at Rosignano. Continue on Livorno – Grosseto road until Venturina . From here, in just a few minutes drive to Piombino .
FROM THE NORTH -EAST: Motorway Bologna -Florence- Pisa- Livorno, exit at Rosignano. Continue on the Livorno- Grosseto until Venturina , which is 15 km from the port of Piombino.
FROM THE SOUTH: Rome – Grosseto motorway , continue on until the exit Venturina – Isola d’Elba .
